3,5-inch inbouwframe-uitbreiding Sharkoon zwart

The 3.5" BayExtension is a metal mounting frame that lets you install up to two 2.5" hard drives or SSDs into a 3.5" drive bay of a PC case. It fits standard internal 3.5" hard drive bays as well as bays intended for floppy or card readers and is compatible with most quick-lock systems. The frame's underside is shortened to avoid interference with tilted SATA plugs, ensuring proper connection to installed drives.

Advantages

The metal construction provides stable support for two 2.5" drives while taking up a single 3.5" bay. Compatibility with a wide range of drive bays and quick-lock systems simplifies installation. The shortened underside design prevents problems with angled SATA connectors, allowing secure cable connection without modification.

Suitable for

• Installing two 2.5" HDDs or SSDs into one 3.5" bay
• Upgrading storage in desktop PCs with limited drive bays
• Using bays originally intended for floppy drives or card readers

Recommendations

When installing drives, power off the PC and ground yourself to prevent electrostatic discharge. Verify the orientation of SATA connectors before final insertion and ensure the frame is firmly fixed in the 3.5" bay to avoid vibration.
