3,5mm stereo connector ShiverPeaks 51210-MG verguld metaal, 3,5 mm audioklink

3.5mm Stereo Connector ShiverPeaks 51210-MG Gold-Plated Metal is a compact male 3.5 mm TRS audio jack with a durable metal housing and gold-plated contacts. It is designed for reliable stereo signal transmission and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for terminating audio cables, repairing broken jacks, and assembling custom cables for headphones, portable audio players and vehicle audio systems. The connector offers a secure mechanical connection and a compact form factor for tight installations.

Advantages

The metal construction provides mechanical strength and protection against wear while gold-plated contacts reduce oxidation and ensure consistent signal transfer. The compact TRS form factor supports standard stereo wiring, and the connector is suitable for soldering or mechanical cable termination depending on the assembly method. Overall, it combines durability, reliable conductivity and a small footprint for professional and DIY audio applications.

Suitable for

• Terminating or repairing headphone cables
• Custom audio cable assembly for portable players and smartphones
• In-car audio and auxiliary input connections
• Small electronics and audio projects requiring a male 3.5 mm stereo plug

Key specifications

• Connector type: 3.5 mm TRS (stereo) male
• Housing material: metal
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance
• Application: cable termination, repair, custom assemblies
• Compatibility: standard 3.5 mm stereo jacks and devices

How to use

Prepare the audio cable by stripping the outer jacket and isolating the inner conductors according to the cable's color code. Insert or solder the conductors to the appropriate terminals of the connector following the manufacturer’s wiring convention for tip (left), ring (right) and sleeve (ground). Reassemble the metal housing and ensure the strain relief clamps the cable securely. Verify continuity and correct channel wiring with a multimeter or by testing with an audio source and headphones before final use.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, avoid exposing the connector to prolonged moisture and clean contacts occasionally with a contact cleaner. Use proper soldering techniques and appropriate heat to prevent damage to the connector and insulation. When used in mobile or in-vehicle environments, ensure the housing is tightened and the cable strain relief is properly engaged to minimize mechanical stress.
