Abrasives Vlies-pad 3M 07521, zeer fijn, 203 x 102 mm, MX-SR, 6 m per rol

3M Abrasive Non-Woven Pad 07521 is a very fine MX-SR non-woven abrasive supplied as a 203 x 102 mm material on a 6 m roll. It is engineered for surface finishing, blending, cleaning and light deburring on metal, paint and composite substrates. The roll format allows cutting to length for manual or machine use, providing consistent abrasive action and a controlled, uniform finish across workpieces.

Advantages

The non-woven construction delivers a consistent cut with low scratch depth while conforming to irregular shapes and profiles. Very fine abrasive grade reduces the risk of surface damage and is effective for removing light imperfections, oxidation and residue without aggressive material removal. The roll format reduces waste by allowing users to create pads or strips of custom length, and the MX-SR formulation improves durability and maintains abrasive performance over extended use.

How to use

Cut the roll to the desired length to create hand pads or machine-compatible strips. For manual use, fold or wrap the strip around a sanding block to maintain even pressure and avoid excessive local abrasion. For machine application, secure the cut strip to the appropriate backing or holder following the machine manufacturer’s guidelines. Apply light, even pressure and move the pad in consistent strokes along the surface to achieve a uniform finish; check the workpiece frequently to avoid overworking delicate areas.

Recommendations

Use in well-ventilated areas and wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and dust mask when working on materials that generate dust. Test on a small, inconspicuous area before full application to confirm the finish and compatibility with the substrate. Replace sections of the roll when abrasive performance decreases to maintain consistent results.
