Accesspoint Rutenbeck Up-Accesspoint UAE PoE 2.4/5GHz 802.11ac

The Rutenbeck Up-Accesspoint UAE is a dual-band wireless access point that operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies and complies with the 802.11ac standard. With a combined throughput of up to 1.2 Gbps and support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), the unit is designed for straightforward installation and flexible placement without the need for additional power outlets. The access point delivers concurrent dual-band operation, basic roaming support, and stable connections for multiple client devices typical in office, educational, and hospitality environments.

Advantages

The device offers simultaneous 2.4/5 GHz operation to separate legacy and high-bandwidth traffic, improving overall network performance. PoE capability simplifies deployment and reduces cabling complexity, while support for 802.11ac ensures higher data rates compared with older Wi‑Fi standards. Its throughput and client-handling characteristics make it suitable for medium- to high-density scenarios where reliable wireless access and predictable performance are required.

How to use

Install the access point in a central location to maximize coverage and minimize physical obstructions. Connect the device to a PoE-capable switch or PoE injector to provide both power and data over a single Ethernet cable. Configure SSIDs, security settings (WPA2 or equivalent), channel allocation and band steering through the network controller or the device’s management interface according to site requirements. For environments with multiple access points, plan channel assignments and placement to reduce interference and enable smooth roaming between units.

Recommendations

Place the unit at ceiling height or high on a wall and avoid enclosing it in metal cabinets. Use PoE-capable network switches for simplified cabling and consider centralised management when deploying multiple access points to ensure consistent SSID and security settings across the network.
