Accuheggenschaar Makita UH020GZ 40V 460W 20mm snijdiameter

The Makita UH020GZ cordless hedge trimmer runs on a 40V power system with a 460W motor and a 20 mm maximum cutting diameter, designed for routine trimming and shaping of garden hedges and shrubs. This battery-powered tool provides cable-free operation and straightforward controls that simplify residential garden maintenance tasks. The tool's cutting blade and motor combination are intended for pruning branches and stems up to 20 mm thick, offering a balance between cutting power and maneuverability for everyday outdoor use.

Advantages

The cordless design eliminates restriction from power cords, increasing mobility around gardens and boundaries. A 460W motor delivers consistent cutting performance for soft to moderately woody growth while the specified 20 mm cutting diameter defines the maximum branch thickness for efficient trimming. Compact and lightweight construction improves handling during extended use and the user controls are arranged for simple, safe operation in typical residential settings.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Maintenance of shared green spaces and small property hedgerows
• Light landscaping work in locations without easy access to mains power

Key specifications

• Power supply: 40V battery system
• Motor output: 460W
• Maximum cutting diameter: 20 mm
• Blade type: dual-action hedge trimmer blade (fixed specification by manufacturer)
• Operation: cordless, battery-powered for portable use

How to use

Before use, fit a compatible charged 40V battery according to the manufacturer's instructions and check that the blade and guard are secure. Start the trimmer using the two-handed safety controls and guide the blade in smooth sweeping motions along the hedge top and sides, keeping the blade angle appropriate for the desired shape. For best results on thicker growth, make multiple light passes rather than forcing through branches near the 20 mm limit. After trimming, switch the tool off, remove the battery and clean debris from the blade and guard following recommended maintenance procedures.

Recommendations

Use the hedge trimmer with appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection and gloves. Avoid cutting branches thicker than the specified 20 mm cutting diameter to prevent excessive wear on the motor and blade. Charge and store batteries in a dry, temperature-controlled environment and follow the manufacturer's battery care guidelines to maintain performance and service life.
