Actieve studiomonitor-luidspreker Behringer TRUTH 4.5 4,5 inch

The Behringer TRUTH 4.5 is a 4.5" active studio monitor speaker designed to deliver accurate, uncoloured sound in compact listening environments. Equipped with an integrated amplifier and a front-mounted 4.5-inch woofer combined with a high-frequency driver, this monitor provides a useful frequency range for mixing, editing and critical listening in home studios or small project rooms. The cabinet includes a rear bass port to improve low-frequency extension while keeping the overall footprint small and easy to position on stands or desktop surfaces.

Advantages

The TRUTH 4.5 offers consistent on-axis response and clear midrange detail that aid in precise monitoring and mix decisions. Its active design with a built-in amplifier removes the need for an external power amp and simplifies system setup. The compact enclosure and rear bass port provide a balance between bass performance and space efficiency, while multiple input options allow connection to audio interfaces, mixers or consumer sources.

Suitable for

• Home recording studios and project rooms
• Nearfield mixing and editing tasks
• Multimedia workstations for video or podcast production
• Desktop monitoring for content creators and musicians

Key specifications

• Speaker size: 4.5-inch woofer with dedicated high-frequency driver
• Design: Active (built-in amplifier)
• Cabinet: Compact enclosure with rear bass port for enhanced low-frequency response
• Frequency response: Wide-range response suitable for nearfield monitoring
• Connectivity: Line-level inputs compatible with audio interfaces, mixers and consumer sources
• Placement: Nearfield / desktop or stand mounting

How to use

Place the monitor at ear height and form an equilateral triangle with the listening position and the second speaker for accurate stereo imaging. Connect the TRUTH 4.5 to your audio interface or mixer using the appropriate line-level cable, ensure the amplifier and source levels are set to safe positions, then play familiar material and adjust levels to achieve balanced output. Allow a short break-in period for the drivers after first use and avoid positioning the cabinet too close to room boundaries to minimise bass build-up from the rear port.

Recommendations

For critical listening, use acoustic treatment in the first reflection points and position the monitors symmetrically relative to room boundaries. Use proper speaker stands or isolation pads to reduce vibration transfer and improve clarity on the TRUTH 4.5.
