Adapter 6,3 mm - 3,5 mm ShiverPeaks 57070

The ShiverPeaks 6.3mm to 3.5mm connector is a compact adapter designed to join devices with a 6.3mm (1/4") jack to equipment using a 3.5mm (1/8") plug. The connector features a black housing and nickel-plated contacts that provide corrosion resistance and stable electrical conductivity for audio signals. Its compact form factor makes it convenient for use in studios, rehearsals, live setups, and portable audio systems where reliable signal transfer is required.

Advantages

The adapter offers a secure mechanical fit and consistent contact pressure to minimise intermittent connections and signal loss. Nickel-plated contacts improve durability and maintain reliable conductivity over repeated insertions. The black housing provides a discreet appearance and protects internal components while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.

Suitable for

• Converting instrument or headphone outputs from 6.3mm to 3.5mm
• Connecting studio monitors, mixers, and portable recorders with mismatched jack sizes
• Use in rehearsal spaces, live stages, and home recording setups

Key specifications

• Input connector size: 6.3mm (1/4")
• Output connector size: 3.5mm (1/8")
• Contact plating: nickel-plated contacts for improved corrosion resistance
• Housing colour: black
• Intended signal type: analogue audio

How to use

Insert the 3.5mm plug of the audio cable or device into the adapter's 3.5mm receptacle, then insert the adapter's 6.3mm plug into the corresponding jack on the target equipment. Ensure both connectors are aligned and fully seated to achieve optimal contact and avoid noise or dropouts. When disconnecting, grip the adapter housing rather than pulling the cable to reduce strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use the adapter indoors or in protected environments to avoid exposure to moisture and excessive dust. For best audio performance, periodically inspect contacts for wear or debris and replace the adapter if mechanical looseness or intermittent connections occur.
