Adapter ShiverPeaks cinch-naar-cinch metaal, model 57040-MGR – audiokoppeling

Adapter ShiverPeaks Cinch-to-Cinch metal, model 57040-MGR is a compact passive audio coupling designed to join two RCA (Cinch) cables or extend analogue audio connections. Constructed with a metal housing and gold-plated contacts, this adapter provides a simple physical connection for left/right channel signals in home audio, hi-fi systems and AV setups. Its small form factor makes it suitable for tight spaces and temporary installations where straightforward RCA joining is required.

Advantages

The metal construction offers mechanical durability and shields the connection from light external damage, while the gold-plated contacts improve corrosion resistance and maintain reliable signal contact over time. The passive design requires no power or configuration and keeps signal routing direct and simple. Its neutral impedance and compact size minimize added bulk in existing cable runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting two RCA cables to extend analogue audio interconnects
• Temporary audio joins during testing, repairs or equipment swaps
• Home stereo and hi‑fi systems requiring short inline connections
• AV setups where a compact RCA joiner is needed behind equipment

Key specifications

• Connector type: RCA (Cinch) female to RCA (Cinch) female coupling
• Housing material: metal
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved corrosion resistance
• Design: passive, no active electronics
• Use: analogue audio signal coupling for left/right channels

How to use

Insert the male RCA plugs of the two cables into each side of the adapter until they seat securely. Ensure correct channel alignment by matching the left and right connectors on both cable ends. No tools or power are required; once connected the adapter provides a direct mechanical and electrical link between the two cables. For best contact, make sure plugs and adapter contacts are clean and free of debris.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for short extensions or temporary connections rather than long permanent cable runs. Avoid excessive bending or leverage on connected cables to prevent stress on the adapter housing and contacts. If signal quality is critical over long distances, consider using a single continuous cable of appropriate quality instead of multiple coupled segments.
