ADATA SE920 Thunderbolt-technologie 4 TB USB Type-C USB4 Gen 3x2 zwart

The ADATA SE920 is a 4 TB external SSD with a USB Type-C connector that uses USB4 Gen 3x2 technology. It delivers up to 40 Gbit/s interface throughput and high sequential read speeds up to 3800 MB/s and write speeds up to 3700 MB/s, making it suitable for rapid transfer and storage of large audio and video files. The compact black enclosure is designed for portability and multi-platform compatibility, supporting devices and operating systems that accept USB-C and USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4 connections.

Advantages

The SE920 provides very high transfer performance (up to 3800 MB/s read) with backward compatibility for USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 and support for Thunderbolt3/4. It includes a patented active cooling system with a built-in micro fan that can be engaged by pressing the case to improve heat dissipation, and retracted for easy transport. The drive’s USB Type-C interface allows connection to Windows, macOS, Android and compatible gaming consoles.

Suitable for

• Fast backup and transfer of large 4K video files and media projects
• External storage expansion for gaming consoles and fast game load times
• On-location content capture and editing workflows requiring high-speed storage
• Cross-platform file sharing between Windows, macOS and Android devices

How to use

Connect the SE920 to a host device using the included USB Type-C cable. The drive will operate at the highest available protocol supported by both the host and the drive (USB4/Thunderbolt3/4, or fallback to USB 3.2/2.0). To engage the active cooling, press down on the case to extend the shroud and activate the internal micro fan during sustained high-speed transfers; press again to retract the shroud for transport. Use standard file manager tools on your device to copy, move or manage files. For gaming consoles, connect via the console’s USB-C or compatible USB port and follow the console’s instructions for formatting or designating external storage if required.

Recommendations

For sustained heavy write workloads, enable the active cooling before long transfers and ensure the host supports USB4 or Thunderbolt for maximum performance. If connecting to older USB ports, expect lower speeds due to interface limitations.
