Afbreekmes Wedo 787009 zwart zilver

WEDO Cutter 2-in-1 (model 787009) is a 9 mm snap-off blade knife combining a standard break-off blade and a safety cutter with automatic blade retraction. The tool has a spring-loaded blade that retracts automatically when it loses contact with the material, and it also allows manual extension using the conventional blade lock. The metal body features an integrated break-off device and a rubberized grip zone for improved handling; delivered on a blister card with an inserted break-off blade.

Advantages

The 2-in-1 design provides both precision cutting with snap-off segments and automatic safety retraction to reduce accidental cuts. An ergonomic metal body with rubberized grip ensures stable handling during prolonged use. The integrated break-off device allows quick blade segment renewal without extra tools, and the included pre-inserted blade makes the knife ready to use out of the package.

Suitable for

• Precision paper and cardboard cutting
• Office tasks such as opening packages and trimming documents
• Hobby and craft projects requiring controlled cuts
• Light DIY and workshop tasks

How to use

Extend the blade manually using the standard blade lock for conventional snap-off cutting. For increased safety, press the blade against the material to cut; the spring-loaded mechanism will retract the blade automatically when contact stops. When the cutting edge becomes dull, use the integrated break-off device to snap off the worn segment and expose a fresh edge. Follow standard safe-handling practices when changing or snapping blade segments.

Recommendations

Use the automatic retraction feature when cutting materials where sudden release can occur; keep fingers clear of the blade path and wear protective gloves for heavy-duty tasks. Store the knife with the blade retracted and dispose of used blade segments safely.
