Afplaktape 3M 101E beige, 50 m lang, 36 mm breed

3M 101E beige masking tape is a paper-based tape supplied on a 50 m roll with a 36 mm width. Designed for painting, masking and temporary surface protection, it provides controlled adhesion and clean paint lines when applied to walls, trims and other surfaces. The tape is formulated for indoor use and removes cleanly from many substrates when pulled off at the correct angle and within recommended time frames, making it suitable for DIY projects, professional trim work and general maintenance tasks.

Advantages

The tape combines easy tearability with consistent adhesion across a variety of common indoor surfaces. Its paper backing conforms to contours and edges, helping to produce sharp paint edges while reducing seepage. The adhesive is balanced to hold during painting yet release without leaving significant residue when removed as directed. Available in a neutral beige color, the tape is unobtrusive on most surfaces and simple to handle for single-person application.

Suitable for

• Interior wall and ceiling painting
• Masking trims, moldings and door frames
• Temporary surface protection during DIY maintenance
• General-purpose masking in renovation and repair tasks

Key specifications

• Length: 50 metres per roll
• Width: 36 millimetres
• Color: beige paper backing
• Backing material: crepe/paper (paper-based masking tape)
• Adhesive type: removable general-purpose adhesive formulated for indoor use

How to use

Clean and dry the surface before applying the tape to ensure consistent adhesion. Unroll the tape and press it firmly along the edge you wish to mask; smooth the tape by hand to remove air pockets and ensure good contact. Apply paint according to manufacturer instructions and allow appropriate drying time. Remove the tape by pulling it back slowly at a low angle and in a single motion; for best results remove within the timeframe recommended for paper masking tapes to avoid adhesive transfer.

Recommendations

For sharp paint lines, press the tape edge firmly against the surface and avoid stretching the tape during application. Do not use on delicate wallpapers or freshly painted surfaces that have not fully cured. Store the roll in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve adhesive performance.
