AJAX FireProtect 2 SB/HSC witte draadloze rook- en hittemelder

Fires can escalate in minutes, yet many detectors only respond to one type of threat. The AJAX FireProtect 2 SB/HSC combines dual-spectrum optical smoke sensing with a Class A1R thermistor heat sensor, so it reacts to both smouldering fires and rapid temperature rises. It connects wirelessly to Ajax hubs via the secure Jeweller protocol, with a range of up to 1700 m in open space. The sealed LiFePO4 batteries last up to 10 years, eliminating frequent replacements. The SmartBracket mounting and tamper protection ensure the detector stays in place and alerts you if removed. Automatic self-tests check the smoke chamber and sensors, and interconnected alarms synchronise across all Ajax fire detectors for whole-home warning.

Who is it for

Homeowners, landlords, and small business operators who want a reliable, low-maintenance fire detection system that integrates with an existing Ajax security hub. It suits those who prefer a wireless installation without compromising on detection performance or battery longevity.

Main features

• Dual-spectrum optical smoke sensor reduces false alarms from steam or cooking fumes

Tips

For optimal coverage, install the detector on the ceiling in the centre of the room, at least 30 cm away from walls and light fixtures. Avoid placing it near ventilation ducts, windows, or in areas with high humidity like bathrooms. Test the detector monthly using the Ajax app and replace the batteries only when the low battery alert appears, as the sealed LiFePO4 cells are designed for the full 10-year lifespan.
