Antenne-adapter TECHNISAT Moditel 1 SMB naar IEC coax-adapter

The TECHNISAT Moditel 1 SMB to IEC connection coaxial adapter converts an SMB connector to a standard IEC connection for coaxial antenna cables. It enables connection of devices with an SMB output, such as certain TV tuners, radio receivers or set-top boxes, to equipment that accepts a female IEC antenna input. The adapter is compact and designed for straightforward installation in home AV setups, broadcast reception equipment and other installations where maintaining a physical and electrical match between different connector types is required.

Advantages

This coaxial adapter provides a simple mechanical and electrical transition from an SMB male plug to a female IEC socket without the need for cable replacement or modification. Its small form factor saves space and allows placement in tight areas behind AV furniture or equipment racks. The adapter maintains the correct impedance path for typical antenna and broadcast signals and reduces the need for custom cables or additional adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting SMB-equipped devices to televisions or tuners with IEC antenna inputs
• Home AV installations and living room setups
• Radio receivers and portable broadcast devices with SMB outputs
• Temporary or permanent connections in media centers and equipment racks

Key specifications

• Connector A: SMB (male) compatible interface for device-side connection
• Connector B: IEC female (antenna) interface for standard coaxial cables
• Suitable for typical coaxial antenna cable impedance and broadcast signal frequencies
• Compact, lightweight metal and plastic construction for indoor use

How to use

To use the TECHNISAT Moditel 1 adapter, align and insert the SMB male plug on the device into the adapter’s SMB connection until it seats securely. Then connect a standard coaxial cable with an IEC male plug to the adapter’s IEC female socket. Ensure connections are firm but avoid excessive force. After making the physical connections, select the appropriate antenna or input source on your receiver or television and perform any required channel or signal scans as described in your device documentation.

Recommendations

Use the adapter indoors and avoid exposure to moisture or outdoor elements. For best signal integrity, keep cable runs as short as practical and avoid sharp bends or kinks in the coaxial cable. If you experience weak reception, verify that all connectors are clean and fully seated; consider using a shielded coaxial cable with good shielding for longer runs or electrically noisy environments.
