Antenne Ubiquiti AirMax Dual Omni 13dBi 5GHz 802.11n

The Ubiquiti AirMax Dual Omni 13dBi 5GHz 802.11n antenna is a dual omni-directional outdoor antenna designed to extend and improve wireless coverage in the 5 GHz band. With 13 dBi gain and a design optimized for AirMax networks, this antenna supports enhanced throughput and broader signal dissemination for point-to-multipoint and multisector deployments.

Advantages

The dual omni configuration provides a uniform azimuthal radiation pattern that reduces dead zones around a mounting point while maintaining stable performance across the 5 GHz frequency range. The 13 dBi gain increases signal range and link margin compared with lower-gain omni antennas, improving connectivity for multiple clients. Built for outdoor use, the antenna is compatible with common mounting hardware and integrates with Ubiquiti airMAX systems to support network scalability and predictable performance.

Suitable for

• Outdoor wireless coverage for small to medium campuses
• Point-to-multipoint links requiring broad azimuthal coverage
• Wireless Internet service providers (WISPs) and community networks
• High-density client areas where uniform coverage around a pole is needed

Key specifications

• Frequency band: 5 GHz
• Gain: 13 dBi
• Polarization: Dual (omni-directional)
• Supported standard: 802.11n compatibility for link operation
• Application: Outdoor omnidirectional coverage for access and distribution

How to use

Install the antenna on a suitably rated mast or pole to achieve clear line-of-sight where possible; mounting height and surrounding obstructions will affect coverage. Connect the antenna to a compatible 5 GHz radio or base station using appropriate coaxial cabling and connectors, and configure the radio per manufacturer instructions to operate in the desired channel and power settings. Aim for proper grounding and weatherproofing of connections to maintain long-term outdoor reliability.

Recommendations

For best performance, place the antenna above local obstructions and ensure the radio’s transmit power and channel selection comply with regional regulations. Combining the dual omni antenna with sector or directional units can help shape network coverage while preserving uniform client distribution around mounting points.
