Antennecontactdoos ShiverPeaks 83905-10DCL BK+SAT doorvoerverbinding voor tv/satelliet-coax

ShiverPeaks 83905-10DCL BK+SAT is an antenna wall socket for TV and satellite coax installations with a through (pass-through) connection. The unit accepts standard coax connectors and provides combined BK (broadcast) and SAT outputs, enabling distribution of terrestrial and satellite signals from a single wall plate. It is intended for residential and small commercial AV setups and supports clean cable routing in wall-mounted installations.

Advantages

The socket offers a through connection that maintains signal continuity for downstream devices while allowing a separate BK and SAT output in one module. It supports a wide frequency range suitable for terrestrial broadcast and satellite reception, and includes DC pass capability for powering active satellite equipment. The compact design fits standard wall plates and simplifies installation in single-family homes, apartments and small commercial locations.

Suitable for

• Single-family homes and apartments requiring combined terrestrial and satellite outputs
• Small commercial AV installations and hotel rooms with wall-mounted coax outlets
• Wall plates where clean routing and one-point distribution of BK and SAT signals is needed

Key specifications

• Frequency range: 5 – 2050 MHz (covers terrestrial and satellite bands)
• Through attenuation: 10 dB
• Return path / return channel range: 4 – 30 MHz
• Low insertion loss in the return path: example measured 1.55 dB in 0.5 – 26.1 MHz range
• DC pass: allows powering of active satellite devices via coax
• Connector type: standard coax connectors compatible with BK and SAT cabling
• Mounting: designed for standard wall plate installation

How to use

Install the ShiverPeaks 83905-10DCL BK+SAT into a compatible single-gang wall box or wall plate frame following local electrical and building regulations. Connect the incoming trunk coax to the module’s input, then connect the BK and SAT outputs to the respective receiver coax cables. If the satellite receiver requires remote power, the DC pass feature permits power to be sent through the SAT coax. After connections are secured, fasten the module to the wall box and attach the faceplate to complete the installation.

Recommendations

Use quality coax cable and compression or crimp connectors to ensure low signal loss. Verify frequency plan and signal levels after installation, and avoid excessive bends or kinks in the coax run. When using the DC pass function, confirm voltage compatibility with powered devices to prevent damage.
