ATX-naar-SFX-adapter INTER-TECH ATX-01 voor het ombouwen van SFX-behuizingen naar ATX-voedingen

The INTER-TECH ATX-01 mechanical adapter enables installation of a standard ATX power supply into computer cases designed for SFX units. It creates a stable mounting interface that aligns ATX PSU screw holes with the smaller SFX enclosure opening, allowing use of a wider range of power supplies in compact chassis. The adapter is intended to preserve airflow paths and secure the PSU during system operation while avoiding permanent case modification.

Advantages

The adapter provides a precise mechanical fit that reduces vibration and movement of the installed ATX power supply. It simplifies installation by matching mounting points and reduces the need for custom fabrication or improvised brackets. By enabling ATX PSU compatibility in SFX cases, it expands component options for upgrades and replacements without altering the case structure.

Suitable for

• Converting SFX or small-form-factor cases to accept ATX power supplies
• PC builders who want to use higher-capacity ATX PSUs in compact builds
• Systems requiring replacement PSUs when only ATX units are readily available
• Upgrades where maintaining original case condition is important

Key specifications

• Form factor adaptation: ATX to SFX mounting interface
• Material: durable metal construction to support PSU weight and provide grounding
• Mounting method: aligns standard ATX screw pattern to SFX case opening
• Finish: corrosion-resistant coating for long-term use
• Dimensions: compact profile designed to fit standard SFX cutouts while accommodating ATX PSU depth

How to use

Position the adapter inside the SFX case so its mounting holes align with the case’s PSU opening. Secure the adapter to the case using the appropriate screws supplied with the case or adapter, ensuring a flush fit. Slide the ATX power supply into the adapter until its screw holes align, then fasten the PSU to the adapter with standard ATX mounting screws. Verify that cables have sufficient clearance and that airflow paths are not obstructed before powering the system.

Recommendations

Check PSU dimensions and cable routing before installation to confirm compatibility with the case and adapter. Use appropriate-length mounting screws and ensure the adapter is firmly grounded to the case. Maintain clearance for airflow and avoid blocking ventilation openings; if the ATX PSU is significantly deeper than the original SFX unit, confirm there is sufficient internal space for drives and other components.
