AudioCodes Mediant 800C - MSBR met 4 FXS- en 4 GE-poorten, dual-mode ADSL/VDSL

The Mediant 800C stands apart from typical branch routers by merging a full session border controller, media gateway, and multi-service business router into a single compact appliance. Purpose-built for small to medium sites, it handles up to 250 concurrent SIP sessions and 60 voice channels while offering dual-mode ADSL/VDSL WAN connectivity, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, and four FXS ports for analog phones or fax machines. This integration eliminates the need for separate voice and data devices, reducing cost and complexity without sacrificing enterprise-grade security or voice quality.

Highlights

• Integrated SBC, media gateway, and MSBR in one unit
• 4 FXS ports for analog phones, fax, or paging systems
• 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports plus dedicated Gigabit WAN
• Built-in ADSL2+/VDSL2 modem for flexible broadband access
• Supports up to 250 SIP sessions and 60 concurrent voice channels
• Advanced security: stateful firewall, IPSec/SSL VPN, DoS protection
• Comprehensive QoS for clear voice and video prioritization
• Flexible management via web GUI, CLI, SNMP, and TR-069

In daily use

Deploying the Mediant 800C at a branch office is straightforward. Connect the DSL line to the built-in modem or use the Gigabit WAN port for Ethernet uplink, then attach local computers, IP phones, and analog devices. The router automatically prioritizes voice traffic using DiffServ and 802.1p/Q, ensuring crystal-clear calls even during heavy data transfers. For remote management, the device supports TR-069 for zero-touch provisioning by service providers, while on-site administrators can use the intuitive web interface or CLI. The external power adapter and optional rack-mount kit allow flexible placement on a desk, wall, or 19-inch rack.
