Audiokabel ShiverPeaks Basic-S 10m zwart rood

The ShiverPeaks Basic-S 10m audio cable is a 10-metre length cable designed for connecting audio equipment over longer distances. Constructed with Copper-Clad Aluminium (CCA) conductors and finished in a distinctive black and red jacket, the cable balances cost-effective material choice with reliable signal transmission suitable for home and project audio setups. The cable is sold as a jacketed lead without fitted connectors, allowing users to terminate it to match specific plug types or custom installations.

Advantages

The CCA construction provides a lightweight and economical conductor option that maintains acceptable audio signal quality for many applications. The 10 m length offers flexibility for placing devices apart without needing additional extenders, and the bicolour black and red jacket simplifies polarity identification during installation. The plain-ended format allows for bespoke connector fitting or direct wiring into terminals, offering adaptability for different systems.

Suitable for

• Custom cable assemblies where specific connectors are required
• Home audio systems that need longer interconnect runs
• Installations in small venues, rehearsal rooms, or stage setups
• DIY audio projects and prototyping

Key specifications

• Cable length: 10 m
• Conductor type: Copper-Clad Aluminium (CCA)
• Product colour: Black and Red jacket
• Format: Plain-ended cable (no pre-attached connectors)
• Application: Audio signal transmission

How to use

Measure and cut the cable to the required length if necessary, strip the jacket and conductor insulation to expose the core, and terminate with the appropriate connectors for the devices being connected. Ensure correct polarity by following the black and red colour coding of the conductors. For fixed installations, secure the cable along its route to prevent strain on terminations and avoid sharp bends that could damage the conductor or jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this 10 m CCA cable for non-critical signal runs or where flexibility and cost-efficiency are priorities. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce the risk of interference, and use proper soldering or mechanical terminals for secure terminations. If highest-fidelity or long-term professional use is required, consider comparing with oxygen-free copper alternatives.
