Audiokabel ShiverPeaks BS10231 0,2 m DIN (5-polig) 4 x RCA zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS10231 audio cable is a compact 0.2 m connection lead designed to link devices with a 5-pin DIN output to equipment using four RCA inputs. Constructed from high-quality copper conductors with nickel-plated contacts and finished in black, this cable delivers reliable analogue signal transmission in a short, space-saving form factor suitable for desktop hi-fi setups and compact AV installations.

Advantages

The short 0.2 m length reduces potential signal loss and clutter between closely positioned components. Copper conductors provide consistent conductivity while nickel-plated contacts resist corrosion and ensure repeated insertion cycles. The combination of a single DIN (5-pin) male connector and four RCA female connectors enables direct connection between legacy DIN-equipped devices and modern RCA-based amplifiers or recorders without adapters.

Suitable for

• Connecting vintage or European audio equipment with a 5-pin DIN output to RCA-equipped amplifiers or receivers
• Compact hi-fi systems where short interconnects are required
• Desktop audio setups and small studio rigs with close-proximity components
• Temporary or portable connections for testing and configuration

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.2 m
• Connector 1: DIN (5-pin) male
• Connector 2: 4 x RCA female
• Conductor material: copper
• Contact plating: nickel
• Colour: black

How to use

Align the 5-pin DIN male connector with the corresponding DIN socket on the source device and insert straight until it seats securely. Connect the four RCA plugs to the matching RCA jacks on the receiving device, observing channel assignment where applicable (for example left/right and additional channels). Ensure both devices are powered off when making connections to avoid pops or shorting. Once connected, power the devices and set input selection on the receiver to the appropriate RCA input.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the ShiverPeaks BS10231 for short-distance interconnections between closely placed components to minimise cable routing and interference. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors and keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources such as transformer coils or large power supplies. If channel order matters, label the RCA ends to prevent miswiring during installation or testing.
