Audiokabel TOSLINK ShiverPeaks BS20-45055 5 m zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS20-45055 5m Black TOSLINK audio cable is an optical digital audio lead with male-to-male connectors designed for transmitting multi-channel or stereo digital audio between devices equipped with TOSLINK ports. The cable's 5-metre length provides flexibility for connecting audio equipment across a living room, home theatre or studio setup while the black jacket offers a discreet appearance that integrates with most interiors.

Advantages

This TOSLINK cable uses optical transmission to avoid electrical interference and ground loop noise, supporting clean digital audio transfer. Gold-plated connector contacts improve contact reliability and reduce the risk of corrosion over time. The 5 m length balances reach and signal integrity for typical home AV layouts, and the male-to-male configuration ensures compatibility with standard optical audio outputs and inputs.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs to soundbars or AV receivers
• Linking CD players, DACs or digital audio sources to amplifiers
• Home theatre systems requiring optical digital audio
• Audio setups where electrical isolation is needed to prevent hum

Key specifications

• Connector type: TOSLINK (optical) male to male
• Length: 5 metres
• Contact finish: gold-plated contacts for improved durability
• Outer colour: black
• Transmission medium: optical fiber for digital audio signals

How to use

To use, align the square optical plug with the TOSLINK port on each device and insert gently until it seats; do not force the connector. Connect one end to the audio output (for example, TV optical out or CD player) and the other end to the input of the receiving device (soundbar, receiver or DAC). Configure the source device to output audio via the optical port if required and set the receiving device to the corresponding input. Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable and keep the ends covered when disconnected to prevent dust contamination of the optical surfaces.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, route the cable away from heavy foot traffic and high-heat sources. Inspect connector ends periodically and clean them gently with compressed air or a lint-free cloth if optical signal issues occur. When using multi-channel formats, verify device compatibility with optical digital audio standards to ensure correct audio decoding.
