Overview

The Author Men SingleT X24 is a purpose-built single-speed bike for kids ready to move up to 24-inch wheels. The frame is constructed from Author's own 6061 aluminum alloy, offering an excellent balance of strength and low weight. A rigid Author alloy fork keeps the front end responsive and easy to steer. With no derailleurs or shifters to worry about, young riders can focus on balance, braking, and enjoying the ride. The Prowheel crankset with 152 mm arms and a 32T chainring pairs with a 16T freewheel for a gear ratio that suits flat to gently rolling terrain. Tektro V-brakes front and rear deliver confident stopping power, and the Author Xenon 24 double-wall alloy rims are laced to Quando alloy hubs for durability. The bike is finished with a comfortable Author kids' saddle, a 560 mm wide handlebar with 20 mm rise, and a threadless 1-1/8" headset for precise steering.
