AXAGON ADSA-M2C44 USB4 40Gbps 4-bay M.2 NVMe SSD-dockingstation met offline kloonfunctie, aluminium, actieve koeling

The AXAGON ADSA-M2C44 is a four-slot USB4 docking station for M.2 NVMe SSDs, built around the high-end ASMedia ASM2464PDX controller. It connects to your computer over a single USB-C cable at up to 40 Gbps and lets you mount four NVMe drives at once, making it a serious workhorse for backups, drive imaging, data migration and large-scale SSD management. A standout feature is standalone disk cloning: the station can copy one source drive to up to three targets entirely on its own, without a connected computer.

Advantages

USB4 bandwidth with PCIe 4.0 lane distribution keeps four NVMe drives responsive simultaneously, while an aluminium body and an active folding cooling fan hold performance steady under sustained load with minimal thermal throttling. Offline cloning (1→1, 1→2 or 1→3) and a recessed secure-erase function let you duplicate or wipe drives away from a PC, and full UASP, TRIM and S.M.A.R.T. pass-through ensure native-speed transfers and accurate drive health reporting.

Suitable for

• IT professionals and technicians cloning or imaging multiple NVMe SSDs
• Photographers, videographers and creators offloading and backing up large projects
• System builders testing, initialising and migrating M.2 drives
• Power users and prosumers who need fast access to several NVMe SSDs at once

How to use

Insert your M.2 NVMe SSDs into the slots, connect the supplied power adapter and link the dock to your computer with the USB-C cable for Plug and Play access to all four drives. To clone without a computer, place the source SSD in the source slot and the targets in the remaining slots, then start the copy directly on the station and follow the LED progress indicators (25/50/75/100%).

Recommendations

For the fastest and most reliable transfers, use a USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4/5 host port and keep the active cooling fan switched on during long cloning or imaging sessions. Always verify you have selected the correct source drive before running a clone or secure-erase operation.
