The Cisco Wired On-Ear Headset 522 is a dual supraaural headset engineered for professional voice calls and communications in office and call-centre environments. Featuring a head-band wearing style and a charcoal black/grey finish, the headset connects via a 3.5 mm jack and includes a USB-A adapter for direct compatibility with desktop and laptop computers. The design focuses on clear voice reproduction, noise isolation suitable for open workspaces, and comfortable wearing during extended use. Frequency response ranges from 50 to 18,000 Hz and the product is backed by a two-year limited liability warranty.

Advantages

The wired connection provides a stable audio link with low latency and consistent voice quality, while the included USB-A adapter ensures straightforward PC compatibility without additional drivers. Supraaural ear coupling and the head-band design balance comfort and passive noise isolation to reduce background distractions. The headset’s frequency response and microphone design are tuned for speech clarity, supporting reliable telephony and unified-communication applications in busy environments.

Use the host device’s audio settings or unified communications client to select the headset as the input and output device and adjust levels as needed.

Recommendations

For best speech clarity, place the microphone 1–2 cm from the corner of the mouth and avoid covering the microphone with clothing. Keep the 3.5 mm connector or USB-A adapter free of dust and debris, and store the headset in a dry place when not in use. If you move between devices frequently, use the USB-A adapter for PC connections and the 3.5 mm jack for mobile devices to maintain compatibility.
