BEG LUXOMAT PD4 360° plafondmontage-bewegingsmelder PIR, 24 m bereik, 1-kanaals, wit

The BEG LUXOMAT PD4 is a high-performance ceiling-mounted passive infrared (PIR) motion detector engineered for reliable presence and movement detection in indoor commercial and residential spaces. Its 360° detection pattern and exceptional 24-metre diameter coverage at a 3-metre mounting height make it ideal for large areas such as open-plan offices, corridors, stairwells, and storage rooms. With a single switching channel and a robust 2300 W resistive load capacity, it directly controls lighting circuits without additional relays, simplifying installation and reducing component count.

Advantages

The PD4 combines precision detection with versatile configuration. Its 1120 switching segments across 10 detection levels allow fine-tuning of sensitivity to match specific room geometries and occupancy patterns. The adjustable time delay ranges from 15 seconds to 30 minutes, with an optional pulse mode for staircase lighting timers or HVAC control. Brightness threshold can be set from 10 to 2000 lux, enabling operation only when natural light is insufficient. The UV-stabilised polycarbonate housing ensures long-term durability, while the IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for semi-exposed indoor locations. Standby power consumption is less than 0.5 W, contributing to energy efficiency.

Suitable for

• Corridors and stairwells in office buildings, schools, and hospitals
• Open-plan offices and meeting rooms

Recommendations

For optimal performance, install the PD4 at a height of 3 metres in areas with clear line-of-sight. Avoid direct sunlight, air vents, and heat sources that may cause false triggers. Use the pulse mode when integrating with staircase lighting controllers or building management systems. Pair with LED luminaires up to 600 W for energy-efficient automatic lighting control.
