BenQ TH575i standard-throw-projector 3800 ANSI lumen DLP 1080p (1920x1080) 3D wit

The BenQ TH575i is a standard-throw DLP projector designed for living-room entertainment. With native 1080p (1920×1080) resolution and 3,800 ANSI lumens brightness, it delivers vivid big-screen visuals for movies, sports and gaming. The projector uses a lamp light source with typical lifespan ratings, offers manual focus and 1.1x optical zoom, and includes an optimized Google TV dongle for easy streaming.

Advantages

High 3,800 lm brightness enables clear, colorful 120" projection even with ambient light. Low input lag (16.7 ms at 1080p/60 Hz) supports responsive console gaming. The officially licensed Google TV dongle provides direct access to major streaming services while universal HDMI connectivity makes it simple to attach consoles, laptops and other devices. Auto vertical keystone and flexible throw distance simplify setup in typical living-room layouts.

Suitable for

• Home cinema and movie nights
• Console and casual PC gaming
• Watching sports and live events in a living room
• Streaming services via Google TV

When it may not be suitable

This lamp-based projector is not the best choice if you need a maintenance-free, solid-state light source — lamp replacement will be necessary after the rated hours. It may also be less suitable for installations requiring extreme portability or ultra-short-throw placement, as it is a standard-throw design with manual focus and limited zoom range.

How to use

Place the projector at the appropriate distance for the desired screen size using the 1.1x zoom to fine-tune framing, then adjust manual focus for a sharp image. Use auto vertical keystone to correct minor vertical alignment issues. Connect sources via HDMI for best image quality and plug in the included Google TV dongle to access streaming apps. For gaming, select the low-latency picture mode to reduce input lag.

What to consider before purchase

• Room lighting conditions — 3,800 lm supports brighter rooms but contrast improves in dimmer environments
• Lamp maintenance — plan for eventual lamp replacement after rated hours
• Throw distance and placement — ensure your room supports a standard-throw setup for desired screen size
• Manual focus and limited zoom — allow for some manual adjustment during installation

Recommendations

For best results, position the projector so the projected image fills your screen or wall with minimal obstructions, use the Game picture mode and low input lag for console play, and enable eco mode when possible to extend lamp life while reducing fan noise.
