Oculair telescoop Baader Planetarium 2454631 zwart

The Eyepiece Telescope Baader Planetarium 2454631 Black is an astronomical eyepiece engineered to deliver clear views through a variety of telescopes. It combines quality optical elements and a sturdy black metal barrel to provide consistent performance for visual observation. The design focuses on delivering detail and contrast for planetary and deep-sky targets while offering a comfortable eye relief for extended viewing sessions.

Advantages

This eyepiece provides enhanced clarity and improved detail compared with basic optics, relying on quality optical design to reduce aberrations and increase contrast. The robust construction ensures long-term durability and stable mounting in standard eyepiece holders. Its ergonomic barrel and eye placement promote comfortable viewing, making it practical for both amateur observers and experienced users seeking reliable performance.

Suitable for

• Visual planetary observation and lunar surface studies
• Deep-sky observing of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies
• Use with refractor and reflector telescopes that accept standard eyepiece diameters
• Amateur astronomy sessions and portable observing setups

Key specifications

• Optical design: multi-element eyepiece optimized for visual astronomy
• Finish: black metal barrel for mechanical stability
• Compatibility: fits standard telescope eyepiece holders
• Intended use: visual observation of celestial objects, including planets and deep-sky targets

How to use

Insert the eyepiece into the telescope’s focuser or diagonal and tighten the holder’s thumbscrews to secure it. Allow the telescope to reach thermal equilibrium with the outside air for best image stability. Start with a low- to medium-power magnification to locate the object, then switch to this eyepiece for higher-detail viewing. Adjust the telescope focus slowly until stars or planetary features appear sharp. Use a comfortable seating position and, if available, a finder scope or red dot finder to assist with alignment.

Recommendations

Handle the eyepiece by the barrel, avoiding contact with the optical surfaces. Store it in a protective case or padded compartment when not in use. Clean optical elements only with appropriate tools and techniques to avoid coatings damage. For best results, pair this eyepiece with a well-collimated telescope and appropriate magnification suited to current seeing conditions.
