How to use

Select a blade appropriate for the material and tooth per inch (TPI) required. Secure the blade in the hacksaw frame following the manufacturer's blade tension method, ensuring it is firmly clamped and properly oriented. Position the workpiece securely in a vise or with clamps to prevent movement. Use steady, even strokes along the cutting line, applying light forward pressure and allowing the blade to do the cutting. Periodically check blade tension and wear; replace the blade when cutting becomes inefficient or the teeth are damaged.

Recommendations

For best results, use a finer-tooth blade for thin metal or plastic and a coarser-tooth blade for thicker materials. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves, and secure the workpiece before cutting. Store the hacksaw in a dry place to prevent corrosion of blades when not in use.
