Install the X-Spans PTZ camera on a stable mount suitable for outdoor use and provide either PoE+ (802.3at) or a 12 VDC, 3 A ±10% power supply. Connect the camera to the network via the RJ45 port and configure IP settings using the provided management interface. Insert a compatible microSD card (up to 512 GB) for local recording if required. Calibrate patrols and presets, enable Auto Tracking 3.0 and smart detection features as needed, and configure audio and alarm I/O for integration with external devices. For night operation, verify IR and Smart dual light + settings to optimize illumination and deterrence behavior.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, mount the camera under a protective canopy or use appropriate weatherproof housing if installation is exposed to extreme elements; regularly check firmware updates and configure scheduled maintenance and recordings to ensure continuous operation.
