Beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2043G2-LI(2.8mm) IP-camera

The Hikvision DS-2CD2043G2-LI(2.8mm) IP Camera is a 4MP network camera designed to deliver clear, high-resolution images for everyday surveillance. Equipped with a 2.8mm fixed lens, the camera provides a wide-angle field of view suitable for monitoring corridors, parking areas and building perimeters. The device supports H.265+ video compression to reduce storage requirements and network bandwidth while maintaining image quality. Infrared night vision extends monitoring capabilities into low-light and no-light conditions, and the weather-resistant housing allows reliable operation in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Advantages

The camera’s 4MP sensor produces detailed footage that aids identification and evidence capture. H.265+ compression optimizes disk usage and lowers transmission load, which is beneficial for systems with multiple cameras. The 2.8mm lens delivers a broad scene coverage without the need for continuous repositioning. Night-time visibility is ensured by integrated infrared illumination, and the robust exterior construction supports stable performance in variable weather conditions.

Suitable for

• Monitoring office interiors and reception areas
• Surveillance of retail spaces and aisles
• Observation of parking lots and outdoor perimeters
• General property and facility surveillance where wide coverage is required

Key specifications

• Image sensor resolution: 4 megapixels
• Lens focal length: 2.8 mm, fixed
• Video compression: H.265+ (with backward compatibility to H.265/H.264)
• Night vision: built-in infrared illumination for low-light monitoring
• Protection: weather-resistant housing for indoor and outdoor installation
• Network: IP camera with standard network connectivity for integration with NVRs and VMS

How to use

Install the camera at a height and angle that provide the desired coverage using the mounting points on the housing. Connect the camera to PoE or provide appropriate power and network cabling, then assign a network address and integrate it with a compatible NVR or video management software. Configure resolution, compression and IR settings through the camera web interface or management platform to match storage and monitoring requirements. Test daytime and nighttime imaging after installation and adjust the field of view if necessary to avoid obstructions and reduce glare.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use H.265+ compression with appropriate bitrates to balance image quality and storage. Mount the camera where the 2.8mm lens captures the intended wide area without significant obstructions. Regularly check lens cleanliness and firmware updates to maintain image clarity and security compatibility.
