Bewegings- en schemersensor MACLEAN MCE25 B — bewegingsmelder met lichtsensor, wand-/plafondmontage

MACLEAN MCE25 B is a combined motion and twilight sensor that integrates passive infrared (PIR) motion detection with an ambient light-level sensor. Intended for wall or ceiling mounting, this device detects human movement and measures surrounding illumination to control lighting and alarm circuits automatically. The compact housing and unobtrusive design make it suitable for corridors, stairwells, entrances and covered outdoor areas where automatic switching and energy savings are required.

Advantages

The sensor provides automatic control of lighting based on both presence and ambient light, reducing unnecessary operation of lamps. Its PIR detector offers reliable motion detection for ordinary indoor and sheltered outdoor environments, while the built-in light sensor prevents activation during daylight or sufficient illumination. The unit supports flexible mounting on walls or ceilings and has a discreet appearance that fits most interiors. Installation and integration with existing lighting or security systems are straightforward when following standard wiring and mounting practices.

How to use

Mount the sensor on a stable wall or ceiling position that provides clear line of sight over the intended coverage area and avoids direct exposure to strong artificial light or heat sources. Connect the device into the lighting or control circuit according to the installation guidelines supplied with the product and observe local electrical safety regulations. Adjust the sensor’s orientation and, if available, sensitivity and light-threshold settings to match the environment so that lights activate only when needed and remain off in sufficient daylight.

Recommendations

Place the sensor at a height and angle that maximizes detection of walking paths while avoiding pointing toward windows, heating vents, or moving objects that can cause false triggers. For energy-efficient operation, set the twilight threshold so lighting is enabled only at lower ambient light levels; periodically check sensor alignment after maintenance or changes in furnishings.
