Bewegingsmelder Ajax MotionProtect Curtain wit 38195 draadloze gordijnmelder voor gerichte bewegingsdetectie

Ajax MotionProtect Curtain White 38195 is a wireless curtain-style motion detector engineered for directional detection of movement along windows, doorways, corridors and other narrow zones. The compact, wall-mounted device forms a narrow detection curtain to protect entry points and confined passages without monitoring the entire room. It operates as part of a compatible Ajax security system, providing discreet perimeter coverage while aiming to minimise false alarms.

Advantages

The MotionProtect Curtain design focuses detection into a narrow beam, allowing targeted monitoring of openings and walkways while avoiding motion in adjacent areas. Wireless communication enables flexible placement and straightforward installation without additional cabling. The device’s compact white enclosure blends with interiors and supports concealed mounting close to frames or along hallways. Sensitivity and detection range are optimised for directional tracking, which helps reduce accidental triggers from pets or general room activity.

Suitable for

• Monitoring windows and balcony doors to detect entry attempts
• Securing corridors and narrow passageways in residential buildings
• Protecting retail display aisles and shopfront openings
• Perimeter coverage of small offices and storage rooms

Key specifications

• Detection type: infrared curtain-style motion detection for directional coverage
• Mounting: wall mount, suitable for installation adjacent to frames or along narrow zones
• Detection pattern: narrow, elongated beam to focus on openings and walkways
• Power: battery-powered wireless operation for cable-free placement
• Compatibility: intended for use with compatible Ajax security hubs and ecosystem devices
• Finish: white compact enclosure designed for low-visibility installation

How to use

Position the MotionProtect Curtain at the height and side of the opening or corridor so the detection curtain covers the intended line of passage. Mount the unit on a stable vertical surface using the supplied bracket or compatible mounting hardware, ensuring the detector’s field aligns with the protected zone. Pair the sensor with the Ajax control hub according to the hub’s device inclusion procedure and test the detection pattern using the system’s walk-test feature. Regularly check battery status via the hub and replace batteries when the system indicates low power.

Recommendations

Install the detector at a consistent height and avoid placing it where heating sources, direct sunlight or reflective surfaces may interfere with infrared detection. For reliable directional coverage, align the sensor so the curtain crosses the expected path of intruders rather than monitoring large open areas. Test the sensor after installation and periodically thereafter to confirm correct alignment and sensitivity settings.
