Binnenruimte temperatuur- & vochtigheidssensor Homematic IP HmIP-STHD

The Indoor Temperature & Humidity Sensor Homematic IP HmIP-STHD is a compact freestanding device designed to measure indoor climate parameters. It monitors temperature and relative humidity and is powered by a single 1.5V LR03/Micro/AAA alkaline battery for simple, maintenance-light operation. With small dimensions (55 mm × 23.5 mm × 50 mm) the sensor fits on shelves, windowsills or other flat surfaces to provide continuous indoor climate data to Homematic IP systems.

Advantages

The sensor provides accurate temperature and humidity readings suitable for everyday home monitoring. Its compact, freestanding design allows flexible placement without installation tools. Low-power consumption extends battery life, while compatibility with Homematic IP ensures data is integrated into existing home automation setups for climate control, monitoring, or logging. The device's unobtrusive size and neutral appearance make it easy to position in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens or hallways.

Suitable for

• Monitoring room temperature in residential spaces
• Tracking indoor relative humidity to protect wooden furniture and musical instruments
• Integration with Homematic IP systems for automated heating or ventilation control
• Placing on shelves, desks or windowsills where wall mounting is not desired

Key specifications

• Measured parameters: temperature and relative humidity
• Power supply: 1 × 1.5V LR03/Micro/AAA alkaline battery
• Form factor: freestanding compact sensor
• Dimensions: 55 mm (width) × 23.5 mm (depth) × 50 mm (height)
• Typical placement: indoor use on flat surfaces

How to use

Insert a single 1.5V LR03/Micro/AAA alkaline battery into the device following the battery polarity markings. Place the sensor on a stable, flat surface at a representative location in the room, away from direct sunlight, heating elements or drafts to avoid skewed readings. Add the device to your Homematic IP network following the manufacturer's pairing procedure so temperature and humidity data are available in the Homematic IP app or gateway for monitoring and automation tasks.

Recommendations

For the most reliable climate data, position the sensor at typical head height on a shelf or table in the room being monitored and avoid locations close to windows, radiators or kitchen stoves. Replace the alkaline battery as soon as low-battery alerts appear in your Homematic IP system to maintain continuous measurements.
