Glasvezel-patchkabel Black Box OS1 LC-LC duplex 15 m, singlemode, gele mantel

Black Box single-mode fiber optic patch cable OS1 LC-LC duplex, 15 m, with a yellow jacket, provides a reliable optical link for high-speed data transmission. The LC-LC duplex connectors enable two parallel channels in a compact form factor, and the OS1 rating indicates suitability for single-mode networks over long distances with low attenuation. The yellow outer jacket visually identifies single-mode operation and assists in cable management within racks, patch panels, and cable trays.

Advantages

The cable offers low insertion loss and stable single-mode performance thanks to OS1 specification compliance and precision LC connectors. Duplex LC-LC termination ensures compact, space-saving connections at both ends and compatibility with common transceivers and patch panels. A 15 m length covers medium-range interconnections within data centers, telecom rooms, and enterprise wiring closets while the yellow jacket improves identification and reduces installation errors.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting networking equipment such as switches, routers, and optical transceivers
• Patch panel and rack-to-rack connections in data centers
• Telecommunication links and backbone cabling
• Enterprise network closets and structured cabling systems

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode (OS1)
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Length: 15 m
• Jacket color: yellow (single-mode identification)
• Cable configuration: duplex, two fibers
• Typical application: high-speed optical data transmission

How to use

Route the fiber patch cable between the two devices ensuring both ends are connected to compatible LC ports. Before insertion, confirm connectors and ports are free of dust and contaminants; clean connectors with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Insert the LC connectors until they click into place, verify duplex orientation to match transmit and receive channels, and secure excess cable to avoid tight bends that exceed the cable's minimum bend radius. After connection, check link status and verify optical signal levels using network equipment diagnostics or an optical power meter as required.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid kinks and sharp bends; maintain bend radius guidelines to preserve optical performance. Regularly inspect and clean LC connector endfaces, and label both ends for easier management. Use this OS1 LC-LC duplex cable in single-mode links where low loss and distance performance are required.
