BlueOptics 10G-AOC-SFP7M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 7 m SFP+ aqua

The BlueOptics 10G-AOC-SFP7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7 m SFP+ Aqua is a pre-terminated active optical cable designed for high-speed connections between network devices. This 7-metre SFP+ cable provides a factory-integrated solution for low-latency, high-bandwidth links in server racks, switches and storage arrays. The aqua-coloured jacket and SFP+ form factor make it compatible with SFP+ ports that accept InfiniBand or 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections.

Advantages

This active optical cable delivers extended reach compared with copper twinax while maintaining low power consumption and signal integrity. The pre-terminated SFP+ connectors reduce installation time and eliminate field termination, and the single-cable duplex design ensures predictable latency and consistent performance. The 7 m length provides flexibility for mid-rack and cross-rack connections without additional transceivers or patch panels.

Suitable for

• High-speed server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Interconnects between storage arrays and host adapters
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row network cabling
• Low-latency InfiniBand or 10GbE links in clustered compute environments

Key specifications

• Connection type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male, duplex
• Link technology: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 7 metres
• Data rate: supports 10 Gbit/s class interfaces
• Cable colour: aqua
• Low-latency design suitable for InfiniBand and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 7 m SFP+ AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on the devices to be linked. Ensure both devices power up and negotiate link settings according to their network configuration. No additional transceivers or fibre termination are required. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it with cable management to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this cable in environments where a reliable 10 Gbit/s-class connection is required and where longer copper runs are impractical. Avoid tight bending radii, protect connectors from contamination, and verify compatibility with the host ports' SFP+ and InfiniBand or 10GbE firmware and drivers before deployment.
