BlueOptics 10G-SFPP-AOC-2501-BO InfiniBand-/glasvezelkabel 25 m SFP+ stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics 10G-SFPP-AOC-2501-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 25 m SFP+ Male/Male is a 25-meter active optical cable (AOC) designed for high-speed short-reach connections. It provides a direct SFP+ to SFP+ interface for compatible switches, servers and storage devices, delivering 10 Gigabit performance with low latency and electrical isolation typical of fibre solutions. The cable is intended for use in data centers, server rooms and high-performance network environments where consistent throughput and signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This AOC offers high bandwidth and low latency suitable for 10 Gbit/s links while eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. Its fixed-length optical design reduces electromagnetic interference and provides reliable signal quality over the full 25 m distance. The integrated SFP+ connectors simplify installation and reduce port-space complexity compared with separate modules and fibre patching.

Suitable for

• Connecting SFP+ ports between switches and servers
• Short-range links within data centres and server racks
• High-performance storage and InfiniBand-compatible devices
• Reducing latency-sensitive communication paths

Key specifications

• Length: 25 m
• Connector type: SFP+ male to SFP+ male
• Transmission: 10 Gigabit per second class performance
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Typical use: Short-reach data centre and server room links
• Signal isolation: Optical transmission reduces electromagnetic interference

How to use

Install by inserting each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down if required by the equipment manufacturer before insertion or removal. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintain clearance from heat sources, and keep the connectors free of dust. Verify link status on both connected devices and confirm negotiated speed and duplex settings where applicable.

Recommendations

Use this cable in rack and data centre environments for reliable 10 Gbit/s links over short distances. Avoid repeated flexing near connector ends and inspect connector ends for contamination before connecting. Store the cable in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
