BlueOptics 10GB-F01-SFPP-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 1 m SFP+ SFP+ AOC oranje

The BlueOptics 10GB-F01-SFPP-BO is a 1 m SFP+ to SFP+ Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for 10GBASE-SR and InfiniBand applications. This pre-assembled multimode fibre AOC integrates a transmitter and receiver in each connector to provide a reliable 10 Gbit/s link over a one-metre distance. The cable is finished in orange and uses industry-standard SFP+ form-factor interfaces to ensure interoperability with devices that support SFP+ AOC modules according to MSA specifications.

Advantages

The BlueOptics 1 m AOC delivers low-latency, electrically and optically pre-terminated connectivity that eliminates patching and reduces insertion loss compared with patch-cord assemblies. Built to MSA SFP+ AOC standards, it supports digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time status of supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit output power, receive input power and temperature when the host supports these functions. Components are selected from established manufacturers to provide extended service life and high mean time between failures.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-SR) links inside racks and short inter-rack runs
• InfiniBand connectivity for high-performance computing and storage clusters
• Direct SFP+ connections between switches, routers, servers and storage systems
• Environments where EMI immunity and low-latency optical links are required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ (male) to SFP+ (male)
• Length: 1 metre
• Transmission type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) over multimode fibre
• Maximum data rate: up to 10 Gbit/s
• Application protocols: Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, SDH/SONET compatibility
• Digital diagnostics: DDM/DOM support (host dependent)
• Colour: orange (typical multimode fibre AOC colour coding)

How to use

Install the BlueOptics AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ slot of the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered according to vendor guidelines and verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces. If DDM/DOM is supported by the host, monitor electrical and optical parameters via the device management tools to verify link health. No fibre polishing or patching is required because the cable is factory terminated and pre-tested.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-distance, high-speed links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends, kinks or crush forces on the AOC; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radii. Confirm compatibility with your hardware vendor’s supported AOC list when precise vendor-validated interoperability is required. For environments that require remote diagnostics, enable DDM/DOM on compatible equipment to monitor link parameters.
