Actieve optische kabel CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-10M-BO 10 m SFP28 male 25 Gbit/s

The BlueOptics Active Optical Cable CBO AOC-SFP28-CABLE-10M-BO is a 10 m SFP28 male-to-male cable supporting 25 Gbit/s data transfer. Designed for high-speed server, switch and storage interconnects, this AOC provides low-latency, energy-efficient links suitable for modern data center and enterprise network topologies. The cable uses optical transmission to maintain signal integrity over longer distances than equivalent copper direct-attach options, while avoiding the need for separate transceiver modules.

Advantages

This 10-meter active optical cable delivers consistent 25GbE performance with reduced electromagnetic interference and lower power consumption compared with equivalent copper solutions. The integrated SFP28 connectors simplify deployment by presenting a familiar form factor for SFP28 ports and eliminating additional module installation. Optical transmission ensures stable throughput and improved reach for inter-rack or row-level connections in dense network environments.

Suitable for

• 25GbE server-to-switch or switch-to-switch links
• High-performance storage interconnects
• Data center top-of-rack and end-of-row cabling
• Low-latency cluster and HPC interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male on both ends
• Length: 10 meters
• Maximum data rate: 25 Gbit/s per lane
• Transmission medium: optical fiber (active cable)
• Typical application: short to medium reach interconnects within racks or between nearby racks
• Low power consumption compared with active copper solutions

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on network devices such as switches, routers or server NICs. Ensure both sides are properly seated until the connector latch clicks. Verify link status on connected devices and confirm negotiated speed is 25 Gbit/s. No separate transceivers are required; treat the cable as a direct plug-in interconnect. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the manufacturer for optical cables.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this active optical cable in environments within the supported temperature and humidity ranges of your networking equipment. When connecting devices from different vendors, confirm SFP28 compatibility and link settings in device firmware or configuration. For optimal performance in data center deployments, label and document cable routes and endpoints to simplify maintenance and future upgrades.
