BlueOptics AFBR-2CAR02Z-BO InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 2 m SFP+ oranje

The BlueOptics AFBR-2CAR02Z-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 2 m duplex cable terminated with SFP+ style male connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed interconnects in data centers, server racks and high-performance computing environments, the cable provides optical transmission over multimode fibre and is finished in orange for straightforward identification and cable management.

Advantages

The cable supports low-latency, high-bandwidth links suitable for InfiniBand and compatible SFP+ ports, ensuring reliable optical connectivity between switches, host bus adapters and other networking equipment. Its 2 m length provides a balance between reach and rack-side cable management, while the orange jacket improves visibility for maintenance and organised cabling. The duplex configuration with male SFP+ ends allows direct insertion into SFP+ ports without additional adapters.

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ style male connectors on both ends
• Cable type: Duplex multimode fibre optic
• Length: 2 m
• Color: Orange jacket for visual identification
• Application: InfiniBand and compatible high-speed optical links

How to use

Select compatible SFP+ ports on the devices to be connected and ensure both ends align with the appropriate transmit and receive pairs. Gently insert the SFP+ style connector into each port until it clicks or seats firmly according to the host device guidance. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for multimode fibre. Verify link status in the connected equipment and confirm negotiated speeds and link health through device diagnostics.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid tight bends and exposure to mechanical strain; use cable management in racks to maintain ordered runs. Match multimode transceivers and port types to ensure compatibility with InfiniBand or SFP+ optical interfaces. Keep connector endfaces clean and inspect with appropriate fibre tools before insertion to prevent signal degradation.
