AOC CBO SFP-25G-A1M 25G actieve optische kabel, 1 m

The AOC CBO SFP-25G-A1M 25G active optical cable, 1 m, is a factory-terminated SFP+ form-factor optical direct attach cable engineered for 25 Gigabit per second links over a 1-meter distance. Designed for SFP+ ports that support 25G connectivity, this active optical cable converts electrical signals to optical and back inside the cable assembly to provide low-latency, energy-efficient short-reach interconnects. It is intended for high-density network environments where a compact, plug-and-play 1 m optical link between switches, servers or transceivers is required.

Advantages

The cable offers 25G aggregate bandwidth with native compatibility for SFP+ slots and low insertion loss for reliable signal integrity. As an active optical assembly, it reduces power consumption and heat generation compared with equivalent copper DACs at the same data rate while maintaining low latency suitable for data centre uplinks and top-of-rack connections. The 1 m length simplifies cable management in dense racks and minimizes crosstalk and electromagnetic interference because the optical transmission is immune to electrical noise.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25G links between network switches
• Server-to-switch uplinks in data centres and colocation facilities
• Interconnects between transceivers and SFP+ ports in high-density racks
• Environments requiring low-latency, energy-efficient connectivity

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gigabit per second
• Form factor: SFP+ plug-in active optical cable
• Length: 1 meter
• Transmission: optical (active conversion within the cable)
• Connector interface: SFP+ compatible
• Typical use: short-reach data centre interconnects and uplinks

How to use

Install the AOC by plugging each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the networking devices while the systems are powered according to your equipment vendor’s guidelines. The cable is plug-and-play with devices that support 25G SFP+ modules; no additional configuration is usually required. Ensure ports are rated for 25G operation and verify link status through switch or server management interfaces. For best results, handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends or excessive pulling along the optical assembly.

Recommendations

Use the 1 m AOC for short horizontal or top-of-rack links where minimal signal latency and compact routing are priorities. Confirm device compatibility with 25G SFP+ optical assemblies and follow equipment vendor guidance on firmware or port settings when deploying at scale.
