BlueOptics AXC7630-10000S-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 30 m SFP+ oranje

The BlueOptics AXC7630-10000S-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 30 m SFP+ Orange is a 30-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed short-reach connections. The cable provides male-to-male SFP+ connectivity and uses multimode fibre with integrated transmitter and receiver modules on each end to transmit optical signals in accordance with relevant transmission protocols. It is intended for use in data centre and high-performance computing environments where reliable 10 Gbit/s links between switches, servers and storage systems are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports up to 10 Gbit/s data rates over a 30 metre multimode link while maintaining signal integrity through built-in transceiver electronics. The SFP+ form factor follows MSA standards, enabling compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP+ AOC modules. The orange jacket improves visual identification in structured cabling environments and the integrated transmitter/receiver design reduces the need for separate transceivers, simplifying installation and inventory management.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 30 m SFP+ AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the network devices. Ensure the connectors are fully seated and the device ports are rated for SFP+ active optical cables. Power up the connected devices and verify link status through the equipment management interface or status LEDs. No separate transceivers or additional fibre patching is required; the cable provides a direct optical link between SFP+ ports.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach 10 Gbit/s connections within racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and mechanical strain on the cable; follow typical multimode fibre bend radius guidelines and route the cable away from sharp edges and high-traffic areas. Verify device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules before deployment and perform link tests after installation.
