BlueOptics AXC7650-10000S-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 50 m SFP+ oranje

The BlueOptics AXC7650-10000S-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 50 m Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors on both ends. Designed for short-reach, high-speed links, this orange multi-mode fibre cable supports 10G transmission and provides a plug-and-play male-to-male SFP+ connection that follows MSA standards. It is intended for use in data centers and networking installations where reliable 10 Gigabit connectivity is required between compatible SFP+ ports.

Advantages

This 50 m AOC integrates optical transmitter and receiver modules in a single cable assembly to deliver 10GBASE-SR performance over multi-mode fibre. The SFP+ to SFP+ configuration simplifies installation by eliminating the need for separate transceiver modules and fiber patch cords. Conformance to SFP+ MSA ensures interoperability with equipment that supports compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ optics. The orange jacket and multi-mode design make the cable suitable for typical short-reach data center routing and identification.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics AXC7650-10000S-BO by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network equipment while powered off if recommended by the equipment vendor, or follow hot-plug guidance from the device manufacturer. Ensure connectors are fully seated and that the linked devices are configured for 10G operation. Verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed and protocol (Ethernet or Fibre Channel over Ethernet) as required for your network topology.

Recommendations

Use this AOC for short-reach 10G connections in structured cabling within racks and across adjacent rack rows. Avoid tight bends and exposure to mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius specified by equipment or standard multi-mode fibre handling practices. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ 10GBASE-SR AOCs in vendor documentation prior to deployment.
