BlueOptics CAB-OM3-LC-LC-3M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 3m OM3 LC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-LC-LC-3M-BO is a 3-meter InfiniBand fibre optic patch cable with OM3 laser-optimized multimode fibre and LC duplex connectors on both ends. It supports full-duplex transmission and is designed for high-speed data links between transceivers, patch panels and active network equipment. The cable is jacketed in LSZH material to reduce smoke and eliminate halogen release in the event of fire. Each cable is factory-tested for insertion loss and return loss to ensure consistent optical performance.

Advantages

BlueOptics OM3 LC–LC patch cable offers low attenuation and high return loss suitable for short- to medium-range multimode links. The use of established branded fibres and ceramic ferrule connectors provides stable optical contact and a rated long mating life. LSZH sheathing meets industrial safety requirements and the product is produced and tested to relevant standards, providing traceable measurement data for input loss and return loss.

How to use

Connect each LC connector to the corresponding LC port on transceivers, patch panels or switches, observing transmit/receive orientation for duplex links. Ensure connectors and ports are clean before mating; use a suitable fibre cleaning tool or lint-free wipes with isopropyl alcohol where appropriate. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode OM3 cable to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use. For critical links, verify the supplied insertion loss and return loss values against your system budget and perform a visual inspection and continuity check after installation.
