BlueOptics CBL-MTP12-4LC-OM3-1M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel MTP 4x LC/LC aqua 1 m

The BlueOptics CBL-MTP12-4LC-OM3-1M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 1 metre breakout cable engineered for high-density, high-speed network connections. It combines a single MTP/MPO-style multi-fibre connector on one end with four LC/LC duplex connectors on the other, using OM3 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter to support full-duplex data transmission and maintain signal integrity in short- to medium-reach applications.

Advantages

This cable offers compact high-density connectivity suitable for data centres and server racks. The OM3 multimode fibre provides improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode types, enabling reliable performance for InfiniBand and other high-speed interconnects. The breakout design simplifies transitions between trunk-style MTP backbones and LC-terminated equipment ports, reducing installation time and rack space usage.

How to use

Inspect both connector ends and clean fibre endfaces before installation to prevent contamination. Plug the MTP connector into a compatible MTP trunk or equipment port, and connect each LC duplex connector to the corresponding LC ports on switches, adapters or transceivers. Ensure correct polarity and secure routing to avoid sharp bends; maintain the cable bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer. Test the link with appropriate diagnostic equipment after installation to verify continuity and signal quality.

Recommendations

Store the cable in a clean, dry environment and avoid tight bends or tension during installation. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use and perform regular inspection and cleaning of endfaces to sustain optimal performance in InfiniBand and data centre environments.
