CBO InfiniBand actieve optische kabel CBL-25GSFP28-AOC-50M-BO 50 m SFP28 aqua

The CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable CBL-25GSFP28-AOC-50M-BO is a 50 meter SFP28 optical link in aqua designed for short-range high-bandwidth connections. This fixed-length Active Optical Cable provides an SFP28-to-SFP28 interface for 25 Gbps-class InfiniBand and Ethernet environments, intended for use in data center topologies, switch-to-switch links and connections to storage systems. The cable’s optical design reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and simplifies cabling compared with separate transceiver and fibre assemblies.

Advantages

The active optical cable delivers consistent 25 Gbps-class data throughput with low latency suitable for server interconnects and switch fabrics. Being a fixed-length AOC eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, which reduces component count and eases deployment. The optical medium and SFP28 connectors reduce electromagnetic interference and improve signal integrity over copper at the same distance. The aqua jacket provides clear visual identification in dense cabling environments.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the cable by inserting the SFP28 connector modules into compatible SFP28 ports on switches, servers or storage devices. Ensure each end is fully seated and that the host devices support active optical SFP28 modules or AOC connections. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required. Verify link status on connected devices and confirm negotiated data rate and link health through management interfaces. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends; follow device vendor guidelines for port handling.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain bend radius and airflow clearance in racks, avoid physical stress on connector ends, and confirm compatibility with SFP28 ports on host equipment. Use the aqua colour for straightforward cable management in dense racks and label both ends where needed for quick identification during maintenance.
