CBO InfiniBand actieve optische kabel JNP-25G-AOC-7M-BO 25 Gbit/s SFP28 7 m

CBO InfiniBand Active Optical Cable JNP-25G-AOC-7M-BO 25Gbps SFP28 7m is an active optical interconnect designed for 25 Gbps InfiniBand links. The cable uses SFP28 form-factor transceivers integrated into a factory-terminated optical assembly to deliver low-latency optical transmission across a 7 metre span. It is intended for high-density server, switch and storage connections in data centres and enterprise networks where consistent 25G performance and simplified cabling are required.

Advantages

The active optical design offers reduced signal attenuation and immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, enabling stable 25 Gbps throughput over longer distances. Integrated SFP28 connectors allow plug-and-play installation in compatible ports, removing the need for separate transceivers. The 7 m length balances reach and cable management for racks and aisles, while the optical medium contributes to lower heat generation and lighter cable bundles.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on compatible switches, servers or storage devices until the module latches. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the hardware vendor if connecting to live equipment. Verify link status leds or management interfaces to confirm a negotiated 25 Gbps connection and monitor for any errors. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure with cable ties or management panels to maintain proper bend radius.

Recommendations

Confirm port compatibility and firmware support on network devices before deployment. Maintain the specified minimum bend radius for optical cables and avoid excessive tensile stress. For best performance, use AOC links within the same rack or between adjacent racks and verify link operation under expected traffic loads during commissioning.
