CBO InfiniBand-kabel BN-QS-QS-CBL-5M-BL 5 m QSFP naar QSFP blauw optisch

CBO InfiniBand Cable BN-QS-QS-CBL-5M-BL is a 5-meter QSFP-to-QSFP link designed for short-range high-speed InfiniBand connections. The cable uses QSFP interfaces on both ends and incorporates blue optical components for easy visual identification. It is intended for direct attachment between QSFP ports in data centers and high-performance computing environments, offering reliable low-latency connectivity and simple plug-and-play installation.

Advantages

The QSFP-to-QSFP design provides a compact, high-density connection suitable for dense rack environments. A 5 m length balances reach and signal quality for typical intra-rack and short inter-rack links. Blue optical components aid in cable management and visual routing. The cable supports InfiniBand signaling standards over short distances, enabling consistent data rates and low latency without additional transceivers or adapters.

How to use

Power down equipment if recommended by the hardware vendor, then insert each QSFP end into the corresponding QSFP port until the connector latches. Ensure ports are compatible with InfiniBand QSFP interfaces and that port firmware or drivers support the connection. After physical installation, verify link status via switch or host diagnostics and check for expected data rates. When removing the cable, depress the latch mechanism and pull straight out to avoid damaging the port.

Recommendations

Use this cable for intra-rack and short inter-rack connections where QSFP interfaces are available. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling during installation; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius. Store the cable coiled without sharp kinks and keep connectors covered when not in use to avoid contamination.
