CBO SFP+ actieve optische kabel SFP-AOC-10G-3M-NV-BO 10G 3 m

CBO SFP+ Active Optical Cable SFP-AOC-10G-3M-NV-BO 10G 3 m is a pre-terminated active optical cable that delivers 10 Gigabit per second connectivity over a 3-meter OM link. The AOC integrates optical transceivers and a fiber cable into a single assembly that plugs directly into SFP+ ports, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords for short-range high-speed links. It is intended for use in server, switch and storage interconnects where low latency and compact cabling are required.

Advantages

The cable provides 10G bandwidth with reduced electromagnetic interference compared to copper solutions and lower power consumption than some discrete transceiver-plus-patch setups. Its integrated design simplifies installation and reduces rack clutter by combining active optics and fiber into one durable assembly. The 3 m length supports rack-to-rack and intra-rack connections while maintaining signal integrity and consistent throughput for high-density environments.

Suitable for

• Data center rack-to-rack 10G links
• Top-of-rack switch to server connections
• High-density switch stacks and aggregation uplinks
• Storage area network short-reach interconnects

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP+ plug-and-play active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second
• Length: 3 meters
• Connector format: SFP+ duplex style plugs (pre-terminated)
• Transmission medium: optical fiber with integrated transceivers
• Typical use range: short-reach/within-rack and adjacent-rack connections
• Operating environment: enterprise and data center equipment bays

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ plug into the corresponding SFP+ port on both devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or support hot-plugging according to their manuals; many SFP+ ports support hot insertion. After physical installation, verify link status on both endpoints and confirm 10G link negotiation in the network equipment management interface. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

The cable should be handled carefully to avoid tight bends and excessive pulling; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for the integrated fiber and avoid exposure to liquids or extreme temperatures. For predictable performance, use the AOC for short-reach 10G connections inside racks or between adjacent racks and choose alternative optical modules and patch fiber for longer distances.
