BlueOptics ET7302-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel SFP28 5m stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics ET7302-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP28 5m Male/Male is a 5-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends. Designed for short-reach, high-speed links, the cable integrates optical transceivers and a multi-mode fibre assembly to carry data at up to 25 Gbit/s over a 5 m distance. It is intended for use in data centres and network equipment that accept SFP28 AOC connections and supports InfiniBand and compatible 25GBASE-SR4 protocols.

Advantages

This SFP28 AOC provides a compact, factory-terminated connection that reduces potential signal loss from patching and eliminates the need for separate transceiver modules and fibre patch cords. With integrated transmitters and receivers in each connector and a fixed 5 m length, the cable offers predictable optical performance for short links and simplified installation in dense rack environments. The male-to-male SFP28 interface ensures compatibility with equipment that accepts standard SFP28 AOC modules.

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFP28 AOC ports and support the required protocol (InfiniBand or 25GBASE-SR4). With equipment powered down or following hot-plugging guidance from the device manufacturer, insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding port until it latches. Verify link status from the connected devices and configure network settings as required. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required because the optical transceivers are integrated in the cable ends.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short intra-rack or inter-rack connections up to 5 m and avoid sharp bends or crushing forces. Follow the host device vendor’s compatibility and firmware guidance for SFP28 AOC modules to ensure proper recognition and operation.
