BlueOptics ET7302-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel SFP28 7m stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics ET7302-AOC-7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable SFP28 7m Male/Male is a 7‑meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors designed for high‑speed short‑reach links in data centers and networking equipment. It implements a multimode optical connection with integrated transmitter and receiver electronics in each connector to support 25G data rates over optical fiber while maintaining low latency and consistent signal integrity. The cable uses a male‑to‑male SFP28 form factor for direct interconnection of compatible SFP28 ports.

Advantages

The cable provides a standardized SFP28 AOC solution that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing component count and simplifying rack cabling. Its integrated optical transceivers are optimized for short‑reach multimode applications and support data center protocols such as Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet at up to 25 Gbit/s. The 7 m length offers a balance between reach and manageable cable routing inside racks and across adjacent equipment rows.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics ET7302-AOC-7M-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the latch engages securely. Verify device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and confirm link status through the host equipment management interface. No separate transceiver pairing or fiber patching is required; the integrated optics handle signal conversion and transmission across the 7 m multimode link.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid excessive bending and strain; adhere to the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode AOCs. Use within typical data center environmental conditions and verify that connected devices support 25G SFP28 AOC modules. When deploying in dense cable environments, label both ends to simplify maintenance and ensure proper port mapping.
