InfiniBand actieve optische kabel CBO CBL-25GSFP28-AOC-5M-BO 5 m aqua

Active optical InfiniBand cable CBO CBL-25GSFP28-AOC-5M-BO is a 5 meter aqua-coloured AOC designed for short-range, high-speed interconnects using SFP28 interfaces. It delivers low-latency, EMI-immune connectivity between switches, servers and storage, suited to data centre and HPC rack environments where compact cabling and reliable 25G-class links are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a combination of high throughput and low latency while eliminating electromagnetic interference typical of copper links. The 5 m length provides flexibility for rack and enclosure layouts without excess slack. The SFP28-compatible connectors enable straightforward hot-pluggable connections to compatible network cards, switches and storage interfaces. Aqua jacketing aids cable identification in dense cabling installations.

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting the SFP28 connectors into compatible SFP28 ports on switches, network adapters or storage devices until they click into place. No additional fibre handling or external transceivers are required because the optical transceivers are integrated into the cable ends. Ensure equipment is powered down or follow hot-plug guidelines provided by the equipment manufacturer when inserting or removing the cable. Route the cable within rack channels or cable management arms to avoid excessive bending; respect the minimum bend radius specified by the equipment vendor.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m AOC for short interconnects inside racks or between adjacent racks, avoiding outdoor exposure and harsh mechanical stress. Verify SFP28 compatibility with host devices and confirm link configuration (speed, lanes and duplex) in device firmware or network management software before deployment.
